Plunged into crises, the religious fascism in Iran cannot remain in power for a single day without repression, torture and execution. From the MEK Iran inform that at least 30 prisoners, including three women, have been executed in various Iranian cities over the past 30 days. Many prisoners are hanged in secret.
These executions took place in the prisons of Sheiban in Ahwaz and Gohardasht in Karadj (suburb of Tehran), as well as in the central prisons of Zahedan, Qom, Dezfoul, Sanandaj, Zandjan, Ispahan, Shiraz, Ardebil, Meshginchahr, Birjand, Nour and Boroujerd.
According to MEK Iran, on February 17, 2021 alone, at least nine prisoners were collectively hanged at Gohardacht prison. One of the victims was Zahra Esmaili, a mother of two, whose lawyer said that she suffered a heart attack. She died before reaching the gallows, yet the regime's tormentors hung her lifeless body. Zahra Esmaili was accused of killing her husband, Alireza Zamani, director general of the sinister Ministry of Intelligence (VEVAK), because he intended to sexually assault his teenage daughter.
Moreover, as it was indicated in an article on the website of MEK Iran, Mehdi Ali Hosseini, a wrestler from Andimeshk, Ali Motiri, and Javid Dehghan Khald were hanged in Dezfoul, Sheiban and Zahedan prisons on January 25, 28 and 30, 2021, respectively, on charges of "war against God".
The regime executed at least 33 prisoners in various cities from December 21 to January 19, 2021 (which corresponds to the month of Dey in the Iranian calendar). As it was indicated from MEK Iran, the aim of these criminal executions is to create a climate of terror to prevent protests and uprisings from the exasperated population, which demands nothing less than the overthrow of the mullahs.
The Iranian Resistance and MEK Iran urge the UN Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Human Rights Council, as well as all human rights organizations, to strongly condemn the arbitrary executions in Iran and to take urgent measures to save the lives of those on death row.
MEK Iran reiterates the need to return the Iranian regime's human rights record to the UN Security Council in order to bring its criminal leaders to justice for four decades of crimes against humanity. This medieval regime is a disgrace for contemporary humanity. It must be excluded from the international community, and all trade and relations with it must be made conditional on an end to executions and torture.
